Topiary, nepotism and songs
Xander and I spent the afternoon putting up posters in shop windows. We avoided the usual pub notice boards. Frankly, nobody is ever going to see a silver-ink hand-letterpressed gig poster for an evening of social media cabaret in the Dew Drop Inn and decide to phone for a ticket. Ever.
So we concentrated on two main targets: people we know and shops whose decor matches the poster. Luckily North Oxford is full of both of these, and the windows of Summertown are now resplendent with Ben’s Big Gig posters. ;)
As for topiary, I haven’t managed to arrange the sponsored shrubs yet. But I’m working on it.
